Standard Stock
IEE hold extensive stock of standard 2.25” BSP immersion heaters. These are brass bosses with Incoloy elements in various lengths and wattages. These heaters are available for next-day delivery or same-day collection from our Staffordshire premises.
Bespoke Immersion Heaters
We’ll work with you to meet more specific needs to ensure your heating is cost-efficient and effective. We can make heaters in British standard pipe (BSP) measurements of 1.25″, 1.5″, 2″ and 2.5″.
Bosses are made from brass, mild steel or stainless steel and elements in Incoloy or stainless steel, depending on your specific use.
We also offer non-standard flanges with bespoke fitted immersion heaters designed and assembled to meet your exact requirements.
Applications
Immersion allows for precise temperature control and efficient heat transfer. For this reason, it’s a widely used method for heating liquids and substances in various industries and applications. Immersion heaters are used in breweries because they allow brewers to reach and control the optimum temperature of their brew.
Immersion FAQs
Our heaters are built to last years, potentially over a decade if well-maintained. However, this is highly dependant on how well they are serviced and their usage. Immersion heaters used in Breweries in particular can require regular cleaning to ensure they perform at their maximum potential.
We try to provide a wide range of stock but we appreciate that sometimes a more customisable approach is needed. We’re always willing to work with our customers to manufacture custom immersion heating elements.
We offer next-day delivery or same-day collection for the majority of our standard stock. For anything that requires alternations or a fully bespoke build, the lead time will be longer. If you provide us with information about what you need, we can provide an estimated delivery date.
We also offer international shipping.
We don’t offer installation services but we’ll be able to provide support and guidance throughout the process.
